Welcome, seeker of the dark and macabre.

A Quiet End to 2021

Greetings Reader!

Here's what's new since last we spoke:

In case you missed it, I released Slave Innovations, a companion to Techno Solutions, on my site the last week of November. I've decided there will be at least one more story in this world, and once that one is ready to go, I will be assembling my first small collection of stories for Amazon. (I've decided to hold off releasing To Mend a Broken Limb on Amazon at least until these others are ready.) After that release, expect to see the offerings available in my store get shuffled around a little, and if you have previously purchased more than half of the stories contained in the Amazon release, please watch for an email from me offering you a free copy of the anthology.

December has been a bit of a heavy month for me personally, and the New Year promises to be more so as I work towards finishing my business degree. I am hopeful that the increased course load in January won't set me too far behind in my novel revision. I'm looking forward to sharing a few sneak peeks of that exclusively with you once I've got some bits polished enough to show you. The novel, of course remains my priority, resulting in little else to share this month.

I hope you and yours all have a wonderful holiday season! My husband and I will be indulging in our traditional Hannibal Lecter marathon and feasting upon the annual epic pan of nachos. May you all enjoy your festivities too!

Nacho Feast of 2020

Thanks for sharing a little of your day with me.

Until next month, Cheers!

A Special Announcement Hi Reader! Is it already June? Wow. So, here's the thing: in March, I started in a new role at my day job. I may have slightly underestimated how much the promotion would cut into the time I spent creating new worlds and sharing them with you. (Okay, "slightly" is a massive understatement.) I miss you! And I'm still working on bringing you delightfully dark stories and book recommendations to lose yourself in. For now though, I simply can't do so monthly. I hope you'll...

Hi Reader! Have you ever wondered what all goes into taking an idea and transforming it into pages of entertainment? Every writer has a different process, and that process can vary widely depending on any number of factors. Today, I'd like to share a little bit about my first step in any brand new project: free-writing. Usually, I'll start with a half-formed idea for a character, or a setting, or an interesting sequence of events. I prefer to free-write by hand in one of my notebooks. (I've...

Hi Reader! I hope summer has treated you well. I know I thoroughly enjoyed mine. I made significant progress on my novel revision (approximately 160 pages into an estimated 560 pages of "write-in"), spent some quality time with my husband, and relaxed as much as possible. Alas, summer has come to an end. With September, my university classes have resumed, so between that and the day job, my writing time will be scant for most of the next eight months. Also, focusing on my novel revision means...
