Greetings Reader!

I hope June has treated you well!

Tuesday was an exciting day for me, since that's when the paperback edition of Souls of the Broken & the Damned went live on Amazon. So, if you're like me and prefer to flip physical pages over swiping a screen, here's your first chance to read any of my published work in book form.

In other news, the revision on my novel continues its slow progression. After re-balancing my other life obligations, I'm still hoping have it finished so I can start searching for an agent by the end of this year. I've made some huge progress which makes me even more excited to get this story out there, but I can't give away too much yet.

I'd love to hear about how you prefer to read, and I'll share the results with you next month.

Thanks for sharing a little of your day with me!

Until next time, Cheers!

Amanda

I may have slightly underestimated how much the promotion would cut into the time I spent creating new worlds and sharing them with you. (Okay, "slightly" is a massive understatement.) I miss you! And I'm still working on bringing you delightfully dark stories and book recommendations to lose yourself in. For now though, I simply can't do so monthly. I hope you'll...

Hi Reader! Have you ever wondered what all goes into taking an idea and transforming it into pages of entertainment? Every writer has a different process, and that process can vary widely depending on any number of factors. Today, I'd like to share a little bit about my first step in any brand new project: free-writing. Usually, I'll start with a half-formed idea for a character, or a setting, or an interesting sequence of events. I prefer to free-write by hand in one of my notebooks. (I've...

Hi Reader! I hope summer has treated you well. I know I thoroughly enjoyed mine. I made significant progress on my novel revision (approximately 160 pages into an estimated 560 pages of "write-in"), spent some quality time with my husband, and relaxed as much as possible. Alas, summer has come to an end. With September, my university classes have resumed, so between that and the day job, my writing time will be scant for most of the next eight months. Also, focusing on my novel revision means...
